Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 Hi Varsity Jacket

Converse released the Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 Hi Varsity Jacket edition. The Converse Chuck ’70 is a re-crafted sneaker that uses modern details to celebrate the original Chuck Taylor All Star from the 1970’s. This edition from Converse is inspired by the authentic American varsity jackets. Varsity jackets are also known as letter jackets. These jackets are traditionally worn by high school and college students in the United States to represent their school and team pride. The varisty or letter jackets are also used to display personal awards earned in athletics, academics or activities.

The leather of the Chuck Taylor Varsity sneakers refers to the sleeves of the varsity jackets. The C logo on the side of the sneakers is a link to the letter which is common on the chest of the varsity jackets. Varsity jackets are popular and a perfect match with your favorite pair of jeans. Recently the Amsterdam based denim store Tenue De Nîmes released their special edition of a varsity jacket to celebrate their 9th anniversary. Read all about it here.

Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 Hi Varsity Jacket edition has a leather upper and a vulcanised sole. The sneakers are available here.
