The Denham brand opened their first store in China on the 12th of May. The new Denham store is based in Shanghai’s new HKRI Taikoo Hui Mall. The store showcase Denham’s collections for men and women. The opening is the first in an extensive rollout of Denham stores across China, and reflects the brand’s greater strategic commitment to expansion in the Asia region.

‘Opening our first store in China marks an incredible milestone for our brand,’ said Jason Denham, Chief Creative Officer and Founder of Denham the Jeanmaker. ‘We are excited to enter the market and unlock Denham’s full growth potential in the region. As a city that embraces fashion and design, Shanghai is the perfect setting to introduce our brand in China, and we look forward sharing our premium product with consumers throughout the market.’

The new Shanghai store is designed by Denham’s in-house team. The store is a 160 square metres store which combines a clean, gallery-like aesthetic with authentic character and décor. The furniture is imported from Europe, including recycled and salvaged pieces like sewing machines, vintage lamps, and trolleys reworked into tables. The floor is made of wood that was reclaimed from a French farm, while walls are made from a special indigo concrete that has been developed exclusively by Denham. The cash desk is made of  vintage American yardsticks.

Next to shopping Denham Shanghai store offers a hand-wash laundry service and a custom sewing area where Denham jeans can be hemmed, maintained and repaired for life. Get an impression of the first Denham store in Shaghai, China.
