Proud to have the first write-up on my blog by buddy Paul Travi. Paul is besides a really nice and humble guy also writer on the great ‘Rawr Denim’ blog were he is sharing his passion for denim and authentic products. Many thanks for making this first write-up about your ”Indigo Rooster” visit in Amsterdam. Below a short introduction of Paul. Enjoy!

Paul’s first experience with raw denim was at the age of 10 when his parents purchased him a pair of raw Lee Jeans. After many years, he found the very same pair of jeans in the United States, since then his interest in denim became a passion. Now based in Holland, Paul is constantly researching and experimenting with the amazing fabric.

“Indigo Roosters” is the brainchild of two good friends and denim lovers, Miles Johnson, Creative Director of Levi’s Vintage Clothing (LVC) and Victor Sandberg, Merchandise Manager LVC. They put together years of collecting and hunting around the world for particular textiles in a wide variety of shades of blue indigo. This is the result of a mix of friendship, partnership and a galloping curiosity for the indigo. A must see, if you are in Amsterdam. The expo is running till the 31th of March. Here are some impressions of the opening night.
