Portraits by Petrol Industries

Petrol Industries just launched their first episode of their new portrait range. The portrait range will highlight people with an extraordinairy passion. The kick-off is with motorcycle builder Chris from Tin Tan Customs. With his Amsterdam based company Chris is building motorcycles from scratch in his own workshop. Petrol Industries collaborates with Chris with an unforgettable roadtrip through his beloved Basque Country.

When Chris drove through the Basque Country seven years ago, it was the turning point for him. At that time he was going to the Basque Country for a few weeks. He just got his license and he just had to go, so he went on an adventurous trip. He made the trip on an old Honda bike which was hanging together with duct tape and a few tie wraps. After a while he made a crash and he didn’t had a clue how to fix it. As he didn’t had someone to call who could fix his bike he had to do it by himself. Soon he repaired it by doing what felt right for him and he was back on track again.

He continued his trip again up in the mountain. As he was filled with so much confidence he figured that he’s the guy with the ability to fix his own motorcycle. It was a tremendous reward. After that trip, he realised that there was much more to learn so he decided to build his own bike from scratch. That day everything changed. It was the beginning of his company Tin Can Customs.

Watch the first episode of Portraits by Petrol Industries and step into the world of Chris from Tin Tan Customs. The next episode will follow soon.

Who is Petrol Industries

Petrol Industries is a Dutch denim ‘vintage wear inspired’ brand since 1973. The blue focussed brand contains collections for tough men and kids. They’re making total look outfits from basic shirts to jackets, sweats and jeans. From simple clean items to heavy destroyed denim items. Petrol stands for denim craftsmanship, knows the power of denim and the secret of the perfect jeans. Whether you’re looking for regular jeans, tapered, slim fit, narrow fit or carrot fit jeans. For more than a quarter of a century, Petrol Industries has inspired the mining process to win crude oil. Because of the attraction of the unknown. Working with raw materials. The power of natural elements. And overcoming obstacles. That’s the fuel for Petrol Industries.
