This upcoming Friday, October 16th, 3Sixteen will launch their first collaboration with longtime retail partner Blue Owl Workshop. This Seattle based men’s fashion and lifestyle store is specialized in denim and well-made clothing from around the world. The collaboration is titled ‘Gold Rush’.
The Collaboration Items
For the collaboration, they made three special items, two pairs of jeans and a Type-3 style denim jacket. The jeans are a classic tapered fit and a narrow tapered fit. They’re made with a new 12.5oz loom state indigo selvedge denim fabric which is custom woven for the project by Nihon Menpu in Okayama, Japan. The fabric is rinsed to bring out the character of the denim fabric. The selvedge fabric features a special double-line ID detail with metallic gold lamé thread.
The collaboration items feature details as double metallic gold selvedge, custom branded ‘Gold Rush’ leather patch, heavyweight canvas pocket bags, printed with collaborative logo, gunmetal finish custom engraved rivets and buttons.
Once the items were produced in the 3Sixteen’ San Francisco factory, they sent the garments out for an industrial rinse to both remove shrinkage and bring the fabric to life. The jeans and jackets all have a soft, broken-in hand to them post-wash with the ability to wear in and fade beautifully over time.
All three styles will launch at 11 am PDT this Friday, October 16th exclusively via Blue Owl Workshop’s website and retail store.
