Handcrafted Since 2012
877 Workshop by Sylvia and Daniel Janssen manufacture since 2012 forgotten crafts and techniques with their brand. They craft everything by hand in their atelier in Hamburg, Germany, always in mind to create unique pieces which are vintage-inspired and with a time contemporary look. Their brass goods for example are a perfect companion with denim.
Brass & Denim
Brass is such a good combination with denim as brass is a nice contrast to indigo. And, just like denim it only gets better over time as it develops a beautiful patina. A nice brass pin catches the eye as well as a useful fish hook keychain. All their pins are handcrafted from solid brass sheets punched, embossed, formed, filed, patinated in their workshop in Hamburg, Germany.
10 Different Pins
877 Workshop carries 10 different pins handcrafted in solid brass and fish hooks with brass Saint Christopher pendants or a big brass horseshoe keychain. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. It’s hard and durable. Brass is a traditional material for premium belt buckles, fittings, and snap hooks.
In the collection, they have handcrafted maritime pins: anchor, compass rose, and Umi (the Japanese sign means ‘The Sea’). The anchor and compass rose is embossed from hand-crafted tools, the Umi sign is engraved by hand.
Their smiley pins are hand engraved. Each pin is unique with a different face and character. Available with a happy or stoned face. The solid brass will get a nice patina over time. The pin comes on a greeting card, so perfect as a little gift.
Also, the tiny skull pins are handcrafted from solid brass. The pins are available without engraving or black hand engraving. One letter or one number is possible or the lucky number 13. The brass will age beautifully with time.
The Keychains
The fish hooks of the driver keychain in the 877 Workshop collection are cast in sand in Japan and hand engraved with a checkered pattern by Sylvia and Daniel. The Saint Christopher pendant is a great lucky charm and is also made by them in solid brass.
The big brass horseshoe keychain is cast in sand in their workshop and patinated for a nice vintage look and feel.
As you can see, brass goes very well with denim!
