A Memorial Tote Bag

After 10 years at 14 Earlham Street in London, The Vintage Showroom closed the doors of their unique store earlier this year. A store that was a must-visit when in London to discover the finest and most rare vintage pieces. Now they created a memorial tote bag with the iconic storefront.

Artist David Clark

The storefront of The Vintage Showroom was known by many as several artists used it as a subject. These creations were shared with the owners of The Vintage Showroom, Doug Gunn and Roy Luckett, so they came up with the idea to reach out to one of them, David Clark, as his illustration captured their retail space perfectly. All the small details and slight wonkiness made 14 Earlham Street what it was being in his design. And, this design is used as a memorial on a limited-edition tote bag.

The Dark Green Print

After David re-worked his original illustration, it was sent on to North London-based 5th Column, who with their eco-ethical approach to garment-printing, was their ideal collaborator for this tote bag project. The dark green print is a nod to the green facade at 14 Earlham Street.
