Peppino Peppino Collection For Spring Summer ’24
The new Spring Summer collection of Peppino Peppino is just shown at the Pitti trade show in Florence to their retail partners. Although it will take a while before this collection will hit their retailer partners, here’s already an exclusive sneak of what to expect from the Italian (denim) brand.
The Simplicity Of The Collection
The upcoming collection is in one word simplistic as the brand gathered inspiration this time from a slower, easier time when the phone stayed in the house and people made small talk at the local shop. Back then this was the standard, but a lot has changed, but luckily there’s a counter-reaction by many, and the brand is embracing this as well. They want you to enjoy the moment. To be in the moment, and to enjoy the simple things in life. Just like the good old days in the 1950s.
The Brand Transports You Back To The 1950s
Therefore, Peppino Peppino took the 1950s as one of their key influences. The time many iconic silhouettes were born in the fashion and denim industry. They became the cornerstone of many cult figures, and now also for this new collection. With the collection, they transport you back to the cozy evenings spent at the drive-in wearing your cool 1950s culotte selvage jeans of the brand paired with their playful striped marine tee. But also, to meet up with some pals for a shake at the diner wearing their classic cotton Attendant Chino, which is both offered in both a pant and a short, together with the preppy Peggy Sue or flirty Wendy shirt.
And not to forget, to cruise on a Sunday afternoon, dressed in classic silhouettes, as the coveralls that for this season is offered in sleeveless and short sleeve options. If you want to wear it a bit more playful, try their Sunday Overall Skirt. No matter which style your pick from the upcoming collection, you’ll be ready to go anywhere, anytime with the slow-down movement in mind. Let’s take is easy…
The Introduction Of The Type 18 2.0 Style
For this new collection, Peppino Peppino introduces the Type 18 2.0, this is a new version of their original Type 18, which has been part of their collection since day one. This updated version has a slightly higher waist and a longer drop. They added classic copper rivets at the front pockets for a more authentic look that echoes classic American detail. Also, the selvedge fabric has been updated to a more structured 3 x 1 denim fabric from the Italian Candiani denim mill.
This mid-blue wash is created using eco wash, utilizing lasers to create the perfect fade for your every day. The good news is that they also offer this style in a rare selvedge ecru, also from Candiani.
The Spring Summer 2024 collection is developed in collaboration with designer and pattern maker Alessio Berto, like the previous collections.
