This year The Oldblue Company is celebrating its 10th anniversary. And, they will do it in style as they just launched their celebration collection. On top of that, they also opened their first The Oldblue Company store in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Step Into The World Of Oldblue Company
When you step into The Oldblue Company store you will step into their own created denim world. Their entire collection is available, so you can discover each denim style by yourself. They created a huge denim wall where all their different fits and styles are displayed. There’s also an inspiration ‘wall of fade’ in the store so you can see yourself how their unwashed pairs of jeans turn into unique worn-in pairs.
To top it off, the collection with The Oldblue Company tops is also available in the store, so you can go for a full brand experience.
The Celebration Collection
The spirit of their 10th Golden Decade collection is to recreate some amazing and iconic pieces on the golden era of denim that they truly admire. The real duty comes in hands when they try to create something based on those iconic pieces but thru their frame of mind. So that they can come up with their own symbolic set of garments that have this solid history as the base foundation.
The first drop of this special Golden Decade collection contains five articles. With the collection, they focussed on the 1930s and 1940s denim styles. These denim dungarees feature particular details of the 1937 jeans as the cinch back, crotch rivet, hidden rivets, and so on. Other denim styles are more focused on WW2 silhouettes.
Another highlight of the collection is the 606RJ jacket which is heavily inspired by the classic Lee 101 Rider of the 1940s era. But of course, they tweaked it to make it a true The Oldblue Company style. On the back, they created a great old-school-inspired embroidery.
And, also within the collection is the brand’s first-ever developed long leather wallet. It is based on the legendary Trucker wallet. In the 1950s, many businesses still preferred cash over cards. And gas stations were one of such businesses. They wanted to incentivize people to pay with paper instead of ‘plastic’. Long wallets were created so that folks would be able to carry a greater number of bills without the need to fold them. So, they started offering discounts; specifically to the truckers, who paid with paper currency.
