Discover The Denim Mecca
The French tv show Asie Insolite went to Japan to discover the denim mecca city of Kurashiki and also the famous Kojima Jeans Street area in Japan. The host of the show, Guigui is taking you on a tour in an almost 20-minute documentary style. He’s exploring denim and jeans making and retailing in Kojima.
In the mini-documentary, you will see Guigui visiting six famous jeans manufacturers who will each show an insight into their brand. He’s visiting stores, fabric factories to see how they indigo-dye and weave denim fabrics, but also the stone wash treatment, and he’s learning how to place buttons and rivets on jeans himself.
