Behind the Scenes Of Nudie Jeans Re-use Program
Nudie jeans have always been a progressive denim brand since their kick-off in 2001. In 2018 they launched their Re-use program as part of their sustainable, recycle and upcycle approach. With their Re-use program, they offer old worn pairs of Nudie’s which are repaired and upcycled for a second life. The worn jeans are coming from customers who drop their old pairs in one of their Nudie stores. Sometimes they have been worn only once, and sometimes they’re worn hardcore for many years.
The Repair Guy At Nudie Jeans
Michael Lundin, the repair guy at Nudie in Gothenburg, is responsible for the Nudie repairs. And also for the Re-use online drops on the brand’s site. Michael has a long history of working with Nudie jeans and their denim repair. He’s the guy going through all their jeans, from selecting, repairing and eventually compiling their the Re-use drops. In the end, each jeans that is available through the Nudie Re-use program is unique because of the natural fading, but also because of the mendings done by Michael.

More Repaired Jeans Than World’s Tallest Building
In 2018, Nudie jeans repaired 55.173 pairs of jeans. All these jeans have been repaired by the skilled staff at their Repair Shops, Repair Partners and with the Mobile Repair Station tour that continues to travel around the globe.
If you make a pile of all those repaired pairs it would make a pile higher than the world’s tallest building. They’re saved and ready for a new denim adventure.
