Retailer Black & Blue in Nijmegen, The Netherlands opened its doors in 2015. This unique denim store brings the American lifestyle with a mix of heritage, workwear, and outdoor together. The store is all about timeless and rugged brands. Styles that only get better with wear and age. It is a truly unique store in its kind.
How The Journey Started
While the Black & Blue store first was selling BBQs as well, two years after the opening, the store co-owner, Barry van den Heuvel, decided to go his own path. This is to expand the success of the apparel side of the store. Luckily he soon found the right retail space in the middle of the centre of Nijmegen. With the movement of the clothing department, the blue side in the name of the store, established itself as a destination place for denim enthusiasts. The BBQs are still available at the old address where they started their journey.
The Collection Of The Black & Blue Store
The collection of the Black & Blue store goes from classic denim brands such as Lee 101, Edwin, Iron Heart, Benzak, Freenote Cloth, Carhartt Workwear, Pike Brothers, The Ampal Creative, Eat Dust, and Iron Resin. Next to these brands, the store has a good selection of Red Wing Shoes and Blundstone as well. And not to forget good accessories. In the upcoming season, new brands will be released in the store such as Blaumann Jeanshosen and Sneum.
Leather Craftsman And Denim Repair
Black & Blue partnered with leather craftsman By Boaz and De Naaier denim repair inside the store. By Boaz is making one-of-a-kind leather goods, from leather belts, wallets, key rings to bags, you name it. Special requests are made too. De Naaier is located in the back of the store and repairs your jeans so it is ready for the next round.
