The latest family member in the Blaumann Jeanshosen denim collection is the Shinohara Lurex Gold Silver selvedge jeans. This jeans is the result after visiting the Shinohara family from the Shinohara Textile company in Fukuyama, Japan.
The Japanese Shinohara Company
The Shinohara Textile company is already in business since 1907 with Kasuri textiles. Later they switched their production to denim fabrics. Nowadays they manufacture a wide range of different denim fabrics, from authentic selvegde, woven on shuttle looms, to more modern fabrics, woven on projectile looms.
The Special Selvedge Fabric
The Shinohara Lurex Gold Silver jeans is made with an unwashed right-hand 15oz selvedge fabric. The special selvedge fabric is made with a golden and silver edge. The fabric itself is 100% cotton with a super soft feeling, something that normally comes after several washes, or with wear. The color of the fabric is a very bright indigo color.

The fit of the jeans is based on the brand’s popular tapered style. Classic 5-pocket jeans with two-tone color stitching. On the back on the jeans is a genuine leather patch, made exclusively by Timeless Leather Bonn.
