Like the rest of the Blaumann Jeanshosen collection this new chino is also made in Germany. An unique production aspect to reach the highest quality.
A Brief History of the Chino
Chino’s were originally designed for military usage. Later they were adopted by civilians too. The chino was originally made to be simple, durable and comfortable for soldiers to wear. The cotton from chino’s originally were produced in China, that also explains the word chino which is a Spanish slang for China. Nowadays chino’s are a very common and popular item to wear. You will see them in many different colours, but the most classic one is khaki (beige).
Details of the Blaumann Chino
The Blaumann Jeanshosen chino is made of a beige selvedge cotton fabric. The fabric comes from the Kuroki mill from Japan. The selvedge of the fabric is plain, so without selvedge ID-colour. The yarns of the fabric are yarn dyed. Yarn dyed fabrics means that the yarns are being dyed before the weaving process takes place.
The fit of the chino is slightly tapered from the knee. On the front of the chino you will see slanted pockets and on the back there’re welt pockets. The waistband has belt loops so you can wear the chino with a belt. The closure has a zip with a top button. Also the coin (or watch) pocket shows the selvedge fabric. On the back there’s a leather Blaumann Jeanshosen patch. This patch will age with wear, just like the chino. The Blaumann Jeanshosen is perfect to wear during the Spring Summer days. And a great alternative for your jeans.
