A Strong Passion For Japanese And American Heritage
Bleeding Indigo is a Dutch initiative by Alain and Bartel that both share a strong passion for Japanese and American heritage. Together they upcycle old pairs of jeans and jackets with unique vintage fabrics. The outcome are unique handmade patchwork and Sashiko stitched styles. Even the Japanese Boro technique is used to give these vintage pieces a second life.
The Boro Ties
Part of the Bleeding Indigo collection are the Boro Ties and the Key Holder Boro Ties. The Boro Ties are hand braided and made from raw Japanese selvedge denim and vintage bandana fabric. Each Boro Tie features a bead for some extra luck, and also high-quality leather details which makes it the perfect everyday accessories piece to accomplish your denim outfit.
This Japanese selvedge denim boro tie will have its own unique fade over time. The length of these Boro Ties are is 115 cm / 45.3 inches.
The Key Holder Boro Ties
Another version of the Boro Ties are the Key Holder Boro. It’s made with the same details, but these ties feature a leather ‘clochette’ with a keyring inside so you won’t lose your keys anymore. The length of these is 95 cm / 37.4 inches.
