Blue de Gênes from Denmark developed a classic five pocket which is loaded with rich details. The jeans model is called ‘Repi’, named after Renzo Piano which is an Italian architect from Genoa. (Genoa is also the Italian harbor city where the roots from jeans started with the sailors.) Renzo Piano got his international breakthrough with the project ‘Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris – France. On the inside of the pocket you can read a short resume about Renzo.
The Blue de Gênes ‘Repi’ model is a five pocket jean with some creative twists, the selvage coin pocket is for example slightly angled and their emblem which is the inner part of their logo, the city shield of Genova, is placed on the right pocket. There are leather details at the coin pocket and on the back of the jean at the belt loop. The back pockets are lined for extra protection and fastened with a hidden rivet. The left back pocket has even a selvage detail, same as the front belt loop. The inside seam is triple stitched for extra strenght (same as workwear pants). The buttons has a patina which refers to old vintage jeans. And they added a leather patch on the back. To make the jean complete they added an authentic pocket flasher on the right back pocket with all the details. The jean is made in Italy and now available in selected stores.
