Bluehanded Indigo Face Scarves
Since the outbreak from the COVID-19 virus faces masks are poppin’ up everywhere. A lot of handmade versions are coming along, made from denim or other fabrics. Bluehanded from the UK developed some must-haves too but in a scarf version.
Unique Indigo Dyed
The Bluehanded face scarves are made of their unique indigo-dyed scarfs. They individually hand-stitched them so they can be comfortably worn as a general face covering. They recommend the use of a certified mask under the scarf for full protection, but with this scarf, you can go outside in style.
The good thing is that you can remove the stitches if you don’t want to use it as a face scarf anymore.
About The Scarves
The natural Calico cotton of the scarves is thick yet soft and safe for skin contact over long periods. Traditionally 100% natural indigo has a natural anti-bacterial quality. They can’t guarantee that their scarves can have this continued antibacterial effect, but natural plant dyes are better against the skin and to breathe through than synthetic dyes.
The pattern on the scarves are done by hand by a traditional and recognized indigo master and his family. They used a hand-cut Katazome paper pattern technique with a resist soybean and natural rock lime paste. Because of these natural processes, and ethical practices, this product is a sustainable fashion item.
Made To Order
The Bluehanded face scarves are made to order. You can choose between 6 different options from their image gallery. They’re all made of natural indigo dye 100% cotton, and have an authentic versatile design. The size of the scarf is 145 cm length, and have a 40 cm width.
Washable After Use
The brand recommends washing the scarf after each use to a minimum of 60 degrees celsius. Avoid contact with unwashed hands. Re-pleat if necessary and iron if necessary. And store in a clean sealed bag (included in packaging).
