Another main event and part of the ‘Amsterdam Denim Days’ was Blueprint. Blueprint is normally the denim part of the Dutch fashion fair Modefabriek, but now they launched the first consumer editon. During the event a lot of denim brands like K.O.I., Denham, G-star, Pepe, Nudie, Scotch, etc. were there to present themselves on a new and special way. They didn’t showed their collection but did something different, something new like an indigo dipping workshop, denim expo, photo booth, etc. and HTNK had their nice shop with a lot of great Dutch treasures; Benzak Denim, Tulp Jeans, Indigo People, Toile de Chine, The Denim Run and many more…Outside on the Westergas terrain there was a nice denim flea market. One of my personal highlights was the boro textile exhibition by Facing West and Miles Johnson (Levi’s XX headdesigner). Really beautiful pieces, all with an interesting story. A lot of denimheads came to show their love for the blue gold. I also curate a great expo with vintage jeans from the ’60 and ’70 era from the archive of my denim friend Antonio di Battista (Blue Blanket Jeans). Tomorrow I will make a special update about this. But for now, check the cool blue vibe of the first editon of Blueprint! Bravo for the organisation, well done!
