A Recap Of The Bluezone Denim Trade Show
This week, on Tuesday the 23rd and Wednesday the 24th of January, a new exciting edition of Bluezone by Munich Fabric Start took place. The denim fabric trade show in Munich, Germany was themed ‘Signature’ this time. A fully booked show with a curated selection of international denim mills showing their latest developments. More than 100 denim companies came together in this special winter edition.
The show took place parallel to Munich Fabric Start and with a supporting program that was as full to the brim as it is relevant, the area on Munich’s Lilienthalallee became again the hub of the international fashion community.
A Few Special Highlights
The Bluezone show featured many special highlights next to the mill’s outstanding denim developments. A few of these highlights were the many panels with the industry’s finest, the trend zone, the live-at-work Sashikodenim embracing the Japanese repair technique, Hamansutra that showed live his craftsman skills, the denim expo by Swiss denim collector Ruedi Karrer, the screening of the Denim Hunter documentary including some of the rare pieces on display, the hall of fame with the beloved jeans by a group of denim legends, and not to forget, the big sized (waist size 133) jeans by denim mill Orta and Long John (yours truly).
The next edition of Bluezone will take place on the 3rd and 4th of September this year.
In case you missed this Bluezone show, shame on you, but luckily here’s the photo recap!
