Captain Santors Since 2014
Captain Santors was founded in 2014 by Gianluigi Santoro and Federica Guerrieri. Hailing from southern Italy, near the seaside, the brand draws deep inspiration from their coastal heritage. Each timeless collection reflects their reinterpretation of traditional coastal attire, rooted in their connection to the land and sea. The essence of seamen, fishermen, and sailing pioneers is intricately woven into the brand’s DNA, celebrating a legacy of nautical tradition with a modern twist.
Timeless Craftsmanship With A Global Appeal
Captain Santors offers both women’s and men’s collections, all made in Italy. Crafted with a meticulous selection of premium materials. These include selvedge denim and natural indigo-dyed cotton from Japan, alongside Irish and Scottish wools, and Italian and English cotton and hemp. The brand’s fabric and pattern research takes place in shipyards and international vintage stores, drawing inspiration from traditional seamen’s attire to reimagine it for modern wearers. The result is a contemporary heritage workwear style that has gained popularity across the USA, Europe, and the East, blending timeless craftsmanship with a global appeal.

The Collection Of The Brand
The Captain Santors collection offers a diverse range of styles, including jackets, pullovers, pants, jeans, t-shirts, vests, beanies, skirts, bags, socks, and more. The brand caters to both men and women, making it possible to create a complete head-to-toe look. Every item is thoughtfully designed with heritage and timeless inspiration, embodying the principles of slow fashion and ensuring they’re made to be worn and cherished for years to come.
Cooking Recipes On The Hangtags
For the packaging, Captain Santors takes a unique approach by repurposing old hemp bags from the Italian Navy to wrap their clothing. Each item is accompanied by a hemp fabric label that features a cooking recipe inspired by seafaring traditions. This thoughtful detail not only highlights the brand’s connection to maritime heritage but also invites customers to explore and enjoy the flavors of the rich Italian culinary tradition.
The Flagship Store In Florence
Last year, the brand unveiled their flagship store, Captain Santors Dock, located in the historic Manifattura Tabacchi in Florence, a stunning reconversion of a 1930s industrial archeological site.
This flagship store is more than just a retail space. It’s a hub where like-minded individuals can gather to celebrate their shared passion for Italian craftsmanship and artistry. To enhance the experience, Captain Santors partnered with Blues Barber, an in-store barbershop perfectly aligned with the brand’s heritage aesthetic.
The interior features furniture sourced from a 1920s New York barbershop, including six vintage barber chairs for a touch of luxury. Complementing this are artifacts from the old tobacco factory, nautical decor, live music, and, of course, Captain Santors’ collections. The store also offers exclusive, limited-edition items. Only available to Captain Santors Dock customers, making it a destination for those seeking something truly special.
