Each worn pair of rigid jeans tells a unique story. And some people count their wear days prison-style on the inner pockets, but now there’s the Fade Log by Tannery South. On the Fade Log, you can easily track everything from your beloved pair of jeans. You can track your wear and carry info on it.
Natural Vegetable Tanned Leather
The Fade Log is made with natural vegetable tanned leather from the American Wicket & Craig Tannery. And it’s stitched with white Japanese Vinymo thread. With usage, the leather will age, together with your jeans, and will become darker in the end. It will get a nice warm cognac color.
How To Use
Just use a pen to fill in all the details that matter most to you, such as the brand name, the date you acquired your new forever jeans, the country of origin, the fit, and so on. Then use the Washes and Wears boxes to keep track of all your specifics. You can even fill in if your jeans is made with selvedge, if it was rigid in the beginning, and if it’s made of Sanforized fabric.
There’re different versions and packages available, so you can put together what you prefer. So, for example, you can go for a credit card size with only the possibility to count your wear days. Or, you can go for a version where you can track more details from your pair. There’re also packages available so you have them all.
Tannery South recommends using only quality ink pens. Even these can fade and bleed over time. Keep it natural. They do not recommend treating your Fade Log with any leather conditioner, waxes, oils, nothing. Their products will either bleed your ink or seal the surface from future markings. And last, try not to wash your Fade Log with your items, this will do some damage.
