Details Of The Gansy
To make an authentic knitted gansy takes a lot of time. Each Dawson Denim Gansy takes around six weeks to produce. It produced by a company that has 60 years of experience.
The Gansy is made from 100% British Worsted 5-ply Guernsey Wool. This wool is spun and died in Yorkshire, UK. 5-ply wool is spun tightly so as to expel water and the design of the Gansy is usually with a pattern on the top section which provides extra dimensions for waterproofing. They’ve added gussets at the neck and the underarm which should allow more movement. The pattern is the same both front and back making the garment reversible an authentic design.
