Dawson Wide Tapered Natural Indigo Jeans
The Dawson Wide Tapered Natural Indigo Jeans front rise has been lowered and the hem reduced to create a tapered leg from the knee down. For this jeans they used a 14.5oz natural indigo plant dyed fabric with white selvedge ID.
The fabric is woven on authentic Japanese Toyoda shuttle looms which are developed in the 1920’s. For the thread they used stone thread colour. The pocket bags are made of twisted yarns. In this case they used salt and peper, blue and white, for the inner pockets. The waistband button is die cast and the fly buttons are two prong nail fly buttons, this style was first patented around the 1870’s. Next to selvedge in the seams of the legs you will also see selvedge inside the fly. The in-seams are fully felled made on the Dawson Denim Union Special 35800.
Another details are copper branded washer and nail rivets, Reece 101 button holes and a natural undyed leather patch which is branded by hand. For the hemming they used their 1959 Union Special Hemmer. The Dawson Denim jeans is numbered and signed by their maker. All in all a great pair of jeans with beautiful arcuates on the back pockets!
