After 10 years of partnership between the founder of Denham, Jason Denham, and Japan’s CEO of the brand, Aki Negishi, they just released an exclusive limited edition Japanese capsule collection. Their partnership turned into a lifelong friendship between the two denim experts. The outcome of the capsule is a genuine East meets West story. A tribute and celebration of the relationship between Denham’s Amsterdam and Japan teams.

The Limited Edition Collection

The limited-edition Denham Japanese Capsule Collection features traditional Japanese aesthetics, superior fabrics, and authentic fits. Military wear is mixed with modern-day uniforms with authentic Japanese references. The entire collection was designed and made in Japan using premium fabrics.

The styles are made with local Japanese artisan techniques such as Boro and hand embroideries in combination with more modern methods.

The Exclusive Styles Of The Capsule

The collection features indigo styles designed to elevate any wardrobe, key pieces include the coach Jacket, made from Kodenshi performance fabric, the denim jacket cut from premium indigo Zimbabwe cotton, and one-of-a-kind Bolo necklaces. These necklaces are made locally by artist BOROnote. Exclusive necklaces that are woven from original Japanese vintage fabrics are known as Boro.

In the collection are also striking Japanese visuals added, such as the Pine Bonsai Tree, symbolizing harmony, peace, and balance, the cornerstones of friendship. It also features different forms of Sashiko, a type of traditional Japanese stitching used for decorative and functional reinforcement of fabrics.
