Denim Days 2019 Is Coming To Amsterdam Again!

Next week, Amsterdam will turn blue again during Denim Days! Two days full of denim with the best brands, initiatives, and people around. Mark your agenda, and make sure your best denim outfit is clean and fresh on time to celebrate this yearly happening!

This year the event will take place in the vibrating place De Hallen, also the home of Denim City. And the good news is that it’s free to visit this year, so no entrance ticket is needed!

Denim Talks

This year the program will be bigger and better than ever! Together with Denim Days partner Tencel, they joined forces for a range of Denim Talks with industries finest people. They will share, inspire and give you more insight into the world of denim.

Expect denim legends as Adriano Goldschmied, The Godfather of Denim, Alberto Candiani, Owner of Candiani Denim, Andrew Olah, Founder Kingpins Show, Tony Tonnaer, Founder Kings of Indigo, Uwe Kippschnieder, Denim Developer Closed, and Roian Atwood, Director of Sustainability Wrangler to name just a few. Be on time to claim your seat!

Denim Market

The finest denim brands will be present at the Denim Market as Companion Denim from Barcelona, Nobrandedon and Blue States Denim from Indonesia, Fit & Craft from Greece, Captain Santors from Italy, Blaumann Jeanshosen from Germany, but also some Dutch pride as Benzak, Denim.lab, Sashikodenim, Dyemond Goods, to name just a few. They will show and sell their premium items, old and new stock.

Next to these cool brands people as CKX Studio, The Denim Dog, Denimbased, IF Denim, Indigo People, 877 Workshop, Angelo Verga, and many more will join the Denim Market at Denim Days!



Denim Venue

Next to Denim City will be the Denim Venue. This is the place where you can grab a cold beer by Brouwerij ’t IJ, but also where the coolest brands are present. Wrangler will be there with their new Indigood activation, Diesel jeans will launch their latest collaboration with Coca-Cola, Kings of Indigo will show their Tencel collab, Nudie Jeans will release their new limited edition jeans, and Bossa will be there for live screenprinting. This is just a sneak, so be prepared!

In the Denim Venue, you can also score that hard to get vintage army jacket at Concrete Matter, or that specific deadstock pair of jeans at Mood Indigo.



Special Denim Screenings

Denim Days will celebrate the 60th b-bay of Ruedi Karrer, better known as Swiss Jeans Freak, during the event and his special collaboration with Candiani Denim. As special, they will screen the new Swiss Jeans Freak X Candiani documentary.

Another must-see documentary is Common Thread, made by Scott Morrisson, the founder of the store 3 x 1 from New York. His docu jumps into the Italian denim craftsmanship.

Workshops And More

There’re several free workshops to join these two days. You can explore the authentic indigo dye and cyanotype techniques with the masters. Of course, you can also repair, customize, hand paint or laser your favorite piece of denim too in Denim City.

At Denim City you can also watch the students from Jean School at work, live on the spot. Working on the new upcoming denim developments.

City Center

Last, but not least. Some of the best stores in town as Tenue de Nîmes, Kings of Indigo Pop-Up, Jack & Jones, Mood Indigo, Score, Chasin’, Uniqlo, Concrete Matter and Zipper will be part of Denim Days too. Here you can score more blue outfits, so you layer yourself with double denim for upcoming Winter.
