24 Hours Virtual Denim Experience
This upcoming Sunday, the 31st of May, the first edition of Global Denim Hang will take place. The Global Denim Hang is a 24 hours virtual denim festival that is set-up due to the Covid-19 situation. Although the situation is still happening, denim enthusiasts, friends, and lovers of indigo can still meet and share their passion for denim. This time via an online initiative, called Global Denim Hang.
The Idea Of Global Denim Hang
The idea for the Global Denim Hang came alive when Alex Bradley (@yorkshire_denimal) had to cancel his local denim hang due to the lockdown. As he still wanted to make his initiative happen, the idea has grown into a global denim gathering. Soon after reaching out to other people in the industry, and denim heads, it became a realistic plan. Without any budget, or technical skills, but full of energy to arrange something, the first edition is going to be a fact.
The team expanded very quickly as Ben Woodhouse (Clobbercalm), Amanda Barnes (23oz indigo), and Thomas Stege Bojer (Denimhunters) came on board. together they’re the driving force behind the first edition.
What To Expect
During the day you can jump into Zoom sessions from participants from all over the world. So, expect interviews, Q&A’s, (indigo dye)workshops, denim stories, and virtual tours. There’re three time slots to cover as many time zones as possible (12 am, 4 am, 9 pm UK time). The total line-up can be seen here below;
