Worn By Their Relatives
For the Heritage Coat the Ginew brand wanted to recreate a meaningful garment as it was worn by their grandfathers and their great-grandfathers in daily life. These kind of jackets were more than only a garment, they were work tools, worn in the machine shops, forests, and fields by them who dedicated themselves to hard labor.
Special Details Of The Jacket
The design of the jacket is based on a classic barn coat with a modern fit and split back. The jacket features as limited-edition condensed turquoise wool blanket lining by Pendleton from Portland, OR. It’s a heavy 32oz wool blanket fabric lining (82% wool and 18% cotton). The outer is made of a Japanese selvedge fabric from the Nihon Menpu mill. A fine 14oz fabric, rigid, so unwashed.
Made In The USA
The sleeves have a custom silk-quilted lining, made in the USA. All the components are made in the USA, and the jacket itself is also made in Los Angeles, California.
