Grenson x Kelly Harrington Collaboration Boots
Grenson worked together with fashion forecaster and creative Kelly Harrington on a special limited denim boot. The Kelly boot is available for both men and women in two different lasts. The boot itself is based on a classic British military boot.
Created A One-Off Boot
The UK Grenson footwear brand is known for its high-quality handmade styles since 1866. This time they created a one-off boot which is similar to a style Grenson produced during the war, but with a twist as they’re made from vintage reclaimed denim fabrics. The fabrics are leftovers from Blackhorse Lane Ateliers production. They provided them with these denim fabrics in all shades of indigo, this as part of their no-waste mentality. A great example of a no-waste project.
No Two Shoes Are The Same
The denim fabrics are put together as patchworks in Grenson’s factory in Northhampton. As each fabric is different, and also the patchworks, each boot came out different too. These are arranged and stitched together in our factory before making up the uppers. The denim is selected and arranged to include a range of blue tones, and seam details from the original jeans and we are allowing the natural fray of the fabric to feature on the uppers. No two pairs are the same, in fact, no two shoes are the same.
The Details Of The Boots
The Grenson x Kelly Harrington The Kelly boot for men and women is a 10-eye derby boot. The boots are fully leather lined, have gunmetal eyelets and ski hooks, all-around leather storm welts, and are made on the super chunky but lightweight rawhide sole. They’re made entirely in Grenson’s Northamptonshire factory.
Celebration Video
