This weekend, Grivec Bros. unveils the newest member of their denim family: the Rover jeans. With this release, the brand honors the rich history of its home region in the mining areas of the southern Netherlands, where the company is based.
The Story Behind The Rover
The name Rover pays homage to one of the most demanding and dangerous jobs in the coal mining industry. Rovers worked tirelessly, primarily during the night shifts, preparing the mines for the day crews. Their responsibility was immense, ensuring the safety of mine shafts by maintaining, repairing, and inspecting structural supports to prevent collapses.
In the deep, hazardous Limburg coal mines, with their soft coal seams and gas accumulations, rovers played a vital role. Their work embodied strength, resilience, and precision, qualities that inspired this new design.
The Jeans Design
The Rover jeans is crafted with a 14oz rigid selvedge denim fabric. Dyed with natural indigo. This fabric features a classic plain selvedge ID, a nod to traditional craftsmanship. The jeans is designed with a high-rise waist and wide legs. This blends vintage aesthetics with modern wearability.

The Grivec Bros. Rover jeans features the following details;
- Stitched entirely in two tones, yellow and tobacco thread, for a striking contrast.
- An extra piece of denim fabric is included on the left back side. Designed to reveal itself more prominently as the jeans age and fade.
- Slightly larger back pockets with the brand’s signature triangle stitching.
