Handmade Kiriko Patchwork Scarves
The Kiriko brand is based on the Mottainai spirit. This is a Japanese value that embrace to recycle everything and not to throw away. Kiriko is giving old rags a second life, they create the most unique pieces.
As Fall is starting it’s also scarf time again. These patchwork scarves are made from their old left over fabrics from previous productions. This mindset gives the most beautiful results and is also something that fits perfectly in the mindset of today. The outcome is that each scarf is a true one of a kind.
Colourful Fabrics With Different Patterns
The two scarves shown here below are the Patchwork Scarf, Red Shibori, Indigo Seigaiha and Buds and the Patchwork Scarf, Indigo Kasuri, Kiku and Olive Shibori. Both scarves have a nice mix of colourful fabrics with different patterns. They have a kind of boro feeling which are also made from old pieces. Each scarf is sewn, pressed and packaged in Portland, Oregon. All the fabrics are coming from Japan.
