Last Friday, the 13th of May, the legendary Jean Shop officially launched its online shop. The mission remains the same from day one, but it’s now easier to get your hands on a pair for everyone worldwide. Also, they want to make the best jeans possible, no more, no less!
With the online Jean Shop launch, they serve you “8 days a week” with their premium selvedge denim.
About Jean Shop
Jean Shop was established in 2003 in New York City by denim veterans Gene Montesano, Barry Perlman, and Eric Goldstein. They were at the forefront of bringing retail to New York’s gritty Meatpacking District, along with luxury retailer Jeffrey New York with designers Alexander McQueen and Stella McCartney. The original store was in a refurbished slaughterhouse on W. 14th Street. Like an illicit speakeasy, hidden behind blacked-out glass doors adorned with a neon pig. Inside the windowless meat locker, stacks of raw and distressed denim jeans draped the brick walls. With just a splash of Añejo in the air.
Known as the “Cristal of the denim world” by GQ Magazine and listed in the Louis Vuitton New York City Guide as a must-see. Jean Shop became a pilgrimage for many faithful long-time store loyalists and denim enthusiasts. ZAGAT claimed, “Tom Ford is to men’s suits what Jean Shop is to jeans.” Setting the stage for Jean Shop to be one of the world’s most coveted American-made denim brands.
Special Single Release
With the launch of Jean Shop, they will expand their fanbase as members will receive early and exclusive access to Jean Shop’s trademark Japanese orange selvedge jeans. This jeans is limited-made and unwashed, so you will achieve your pattern over time.
One of the specials to celebrate the launch of the online store is the release of the brand’s first single, the Jean Shop Rocker. A special Spotify Jean Shop Rocker playlist was released to homage to their iconic pair of jeans.
