The Jugu Brand
The Jugu brand is the creation of Jess Yang and Jake Caccia. The brand name means ‘mountain’ in the people’s Naxi language, which has one of the few forms of pictographic writing remaining in the world.
The indigo plant is indigenous to this area of the Eastern Himalayas, and the traditional techniques of tie-dye, shibori and batik are widely used. Jugu works with local women to inspire them to create beauty using traditional patterns in contemporary ways.
Face Masks
Next to cushions, clothes, scarves the brand have a collection of face masks too. Within the collection, they have a clean version, but also several outstanding versions with a pattern.
Details Of The Face Masks
The base of each face masks is natural Calico cotton. They’re reusable and washable and are made with two layers of this great fabric with a pocket, for the filter of your choice. You can use a high-quality paper towel or coffee filter for example.
