The 501 Day Celebration Jeans

Last Friday, Levi’s celebrated their 501 Day as May the 20th is the date when Levi Strauss partnered with tailor Jacob David on the rivet patent in 1873. For this special day, they released their 1963 version of the 501 with their Levi’s Vintage Clothing (LVC) collection, but this time inside out.

The Special Details

The Levi’s ‘Inside Out’ jeans were designed using the reverse side of 1963 selvedge denim from the Cone Mills White Oak plant. The American denim plant used to make all the fabrics when they were still active. For this special release, all the iconic features of a pair of 501’s such as the tags like leather patch, Red Tab, buttons, and rivets are the same, but the pant’s inner is outside. So, when you will wear them with cuffs, you will see the outside (dark blue) color.

The 1963 Inside Out 501 jeans have a regular fit with straight legs and a mid-rise. The fabric is 12 oz, 100% cotton, and shrink-to-fit. As with each Levi’s jean, the back pockets feature their two-needle arcuate stitching.
