Levi’s Jeans X Jordan Collaboration
Two iconic American brands, Levi’s Jeans and Jordan, are releasing a very special collaboration. The Levi’s X Jordan collab consists the Levi’s Air Jordan IV and Jordan Reversible Trucker Jacket. In the year 1989, Nike released the Air Jordan IV to the public. This edition was designed by Tinker Hatfield. It was the first Air Jordan released on the global market. It was launched in four different colorways: White/Black-Cement Grey, Black/Cement Grey, White/Fire Red-Black, and Off White/Military Blue.
For the Levi’s X Jordan IV they used denim material on the outside and on the sock liner and insole. The collab Levi’s X Jordan have gum detailing on the outer sole, gold stitching, denim laces and the globally recognized Levi’s Jeans ‘Two Horse’ tag. Also the popular Jordan Jumpman logo is used on the tongue and hangtag.
The Levi’s X Jordan Reversible Trucker Jacket features the famous Levi’s Trucker style, plus the crinkle taffeta of a classic Jordan warm-up suit. The back of the denim jacket has the Jordan Flight logo.
Levi’s Jeans global design director for men’s bottoms, Steven Burns, says about the collaboration: “There’s a lot of energy around both brands at the moment so it’s a great time to collaborate. The details of the shoes and jackets share the same denim, the same wash, the same threads, the same weight. I like that idea of technical sport apparel mixed with our authentic heritage because it gives it a different kind of edge.”
