The Lightning Archives publications are one of the most popular reference books as it comes to vintage. They published Vintage Denim in 2014 and made a revised version in 2019. Now, they’re back with a new edition: Vintage Denim Extra. This time they focus again on products with material value and collectible denim styles. A perfect book for everyone to learn more about vintage denim.
Highlighting Special And Rare Denim Styles
This Vintage Denim Extra book is a collection of products that emerged during that time, centered on vintage denim made in the United States. It has become a thing. Therefore, you should be able to see several trends in vintage denim currently circulating in Japan.
To make this book, they collected again special items from jeans makers, work brands, store brands, western labels, etc., which were predominant at the time, all have a unique value. They’re also expanding the era of vintage denim they collect. From the early 20th century, when denim products were distributed as workwear, to the 1990s, when the design was pursued as fashion, you can see the transition of denim products reflecting the backdrop of that era.

This new Vintage Denim Extra book by Lightning Archives features 260 full-color pages and is dived into different chapters. Each chapter is focussing on different era’s as the early century, the 1940s, WWII, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.
