Limited Edition Nudie Jeans Jerry Dry Rebirth Embo Jacket
Nudie jeans released a limited edition jacket, the Jerry Dry Rebirth Embo. This special relaxed fitted jacket is made from recycled post-consumer Nudie jeans and organic cotton. It’s the rebirth of your worn and torn pairs of the brand.
Chain Stitched Embroidery
The special Nudie jeans jacket comes with a six-color chain stitch embroidery on the back. The full brand name is embroidered in red on the back yoke of the jacket, and there’s a magenta label on the front pocket. The buttons are black, the same as all the threads. And the patch on the inside is Jacron. On the inside of the jacket is a Rebirth print with all the details.
The Recycling Process
The process of the recycling which is used for this jacket goes as follows, by mechanical recycling, the collected jeans were cut into pieces, ground to fibers and blended with virgin (new) organic cotton to guarantee durability. After yarn spinning and weaving, they ended up with a 12.75oz comfort stretch denim which they indigo dyed and subsequently over-dyed black. The finished dry fabric is pitch black and will overtime fade revealing the underlying indigo, just as regular denim fabrics.
With wear and washing, this jacket will fade towards a beautiful and unique grey-blueish tone. The yarn slub will also become visible, creating a grainy character with bright grey highlights over the slubs and darker cold blue shades at folds, creases and within the twill lines.
The 12.75oz comfort stretch denim fabric of the jacket is made with 20% post-consumer recycled cotton, 79% organic cotton and 1% elastane.
Limited Edition
This limited edition Nudie jacket is produced in only 199 pieces, and each piece is numbered too. It’s a perfect example of how doing a more circular way of denim.
