This vintage Lee Jeans Rider jacket from the 70’s is one of my latest vintage finds. My eyes catched this jacket because of it’s great blue worn-out color. The different shades of blue in combination with the golden buttons is really beautifull!
For those who don’t know yet I will give some historie background info about this jacket: The original slim denim jacket was created in 1931 as a practical work garment for cowboys. It was the first shorter style western jacket, the shorter cut of the jacket making it more easier to wear on a horse. Other handy touches included slanted breast pockets that made it easier to reach across and into the pockets whilst riding a horse and the wide waistband ensured the jacket did not fold upward. The Riders jacket is one of my all time favourites!
