Vintage U.S. Mining Jacket Inspired
One of the pieces that stand out in the Spring Summer collection of Nigel Cabourn is the Short Cactus Work Jacket. This special men’s jacket is based on a vintage U.S. mining jacket from the early 20th century.
About The Jacket
The jacket has a classic mid-length Chore workwear shape and features three front pockets and a collar. The fabric of this jacket makes it extra special as it’s a woven 10 ounce Jacquard denim that features an all-over cactus design. It is based on a pattern that was regularly used by Nigel Cabourn during the 1980s. So, it’s an exclusive brand’s print.
The jacket itself is made in England, while the denim comes from the Japanese Nihon Menpu mill. They’re producing denim fabrics since the 1960s and are known for their high-quality.
New Approach Of Workwear
The Nigel Cabourn cactus jacket is a new approach to a classic workwear style. It combines the hard-wearing fabrics of vintage workwear with a pattern unlike any other jackets around. The cactus design combined with the Chore style gives this jacket a perfect American Western feeling.
