More Than 500 Pieces
Last week the expo ‘The Future Is In The Past‘ kicked off at the Bunka Gakuen Costume Museum in Tokyo, Japan. The expo highlights more than 500 unique pieces of Japanese fashion designer and streetwear icon Nigo. The expo will run until the 13th of November.
Collecting Over 35 Years Since His Childhood Period
Nigo is the founder and designer of the Human Made brand and also the artistic director of Kenzo. Since his childhood, Nigo is a fanatic collector of many items such as furniture, bags, records, design objects, wine, sneakers, books, and clothing. You name it and he’s collecting it.
This expo is his first large-scale exhibition that shows his most interesting stuff. Expect 1950s Japanese souvenir jackets, N-2 flight jackets, vintage Levi’s denim, many denim jackets, sweaters, rare Lee and Wrangler rodeo stuff, t-shirts, and so on.
