The New Nippers Brand

Nippers is a new children’s denim brand by Ryan Darragh from Northern Ireland. The brand is a vintage style brand for kids mixing their own made-in-Japan jeans. With his brand, he wants to create future vintage, clothing that can be passed on to others and used until it no longer can. So, quality-made goods that become more beautiful with time and wear.

They believe that nowhere else in the world than Japan has the passion and craftsmanship they want to achieve in their products. Reaching the highest level of quality is their goal, creating products with no compromises. Therefore they teamed up with Japanese makers for their first pair of jeans.

The First Nippers N01 Jean

The first pair of jeans in the Nippers collection is based on a vintage original from the 1950s. A classic jean style that is made of 100% cotton, selvedge denim with a pink ID. The 13oz selvedge fabric is woven at the Japanese Shinya Mills. The cut of the jeans is straight and features authentic details as v-stitch at the top button, hidden rivets, tobacco stitching, zip fly, and a leather patch.

The jean will shrink approximately 1 inch in waist and length after washing, therefore they recommend washing it cool with a little soap. The Nippers No1 is made in Japan.

Deadstock No1 T-Shirt

With the launch of the first Nippers jean, they also launch a deadstock 1960’s Hanes made in USA athletic t-shirt. The shirt is a slim 1950’s style fit, just like James Dean or Marlon Brando was wearing. On their shirt, they screen-printed an original Nippers artwork which is based on a vintage Olympic (champion) tag from the 1930s.

Sustainable Approach

Next to their original Nippers products they also source and sell the finest deadstock vintage they can. And, to make full use of your Nippers jeans after your little nipper has grown out of them, please pass them on to a friend, a family member, a neighbor, or anyone you know who would appreciate them.
