Workwear Inspired Denim Jacket
Nudie jeans made this workwear-inspired Ada denim jacket for women for this Fall-Winter season. A regular-fit denim jacket with patch on pockets. It’s constructed with simplistic workwear making and made from an organic 14.6oz selvage denim fabric from the Japanese Kuroki mill which is located in Okayama.
Natural Indigo Dyed Yarns
The yarns of this Ada denim jacket are ring-spun so they have slightly irregular thickness, which gives the jacket extra character. They are dyed in pure indigo from the Indigofera Tinctoria plant.
Nudie jeans have rinsed the jacket partly to make the indigo bleed onto the white weft yarns, producing a more uniformly deep blue hue. But primarily to create a richer, vintage-like fabric texture with a dull and slightly hairy surface.
The Ageing Of The Fabric
With wearing and washing this Nudie denim jacket, it will age from the abrasions that the wearing and the washing impose, as is the case for any indigo-dyed garment. This denim, however, has a spectacular aging property. The deep blue color will slowly age toward a brilliant blue hue thanks to the pure indigo dyestuff used.
The irregular yarns and the vintage shuttle loom weaving technique will render a beautiful salt and pepper grain and slight puckering throughout the denim, resulting in a rich texture where the jacket is not abraded. Where it is exposed to the most abrasion, a clear twill texture will emerge, and the loss of dye will be most significant. The contrasts between these areas, between the indigo hues and the multitude of textures, is what will produce magical beauty.
The Special Features Of The Jacket
The Nudie Ada denim jacket is made with rigid denim fabric and is sewn with contrast clay white yarns. The jacket features one chest pocket and two lower pockets. The bartacks on the jacket are made with Tobacco thread, and the buttons are made from original Corozo. The jacket is made in Italy.
