Cultizm Presents: Denim Fade Contest
Cultizm is an online menswear store that carries 100+ (denim) brands since 2004. The online retailer is always at the forefront when it comes to the finest new (denim) brands available in the market. Now, they’re organizing something very special, the ‘Cultizm Denim Fade Contest’. The denim fade contest is set up as they take denim very seriously, especially when it comes to fades. The contest is powered by denim brands Nudie, Naked & Famous and Fullcount.

Cultizm About The Contest
”There’s nothing more beautiful than seeing a rigid pair of jeans transformed into a naturally worn pattern. A special process that lets our indigo hearts beat faster! Therefore we came up with the idea to organize a special denim fade contest. The ‘Cultizm Denim Fade Contest’. A contest that invites true denim heads to join. This is to show the beauty of denim, but also to get the denim community together and show the magic of denim!”
The Duration And Prizes Of The Contest
The ‘Cultizm Denim Fade Contest’ will run for 1 year and will kick off on the 1st of October. You can win crazy prizes, the 1st prize will be a 5 day trip for 2 people to denim mecca Kojima in Japan. A must-visit for each denim head!
Prizes
There are 3 different prizes in total to win at the ‘Cultizm Denim Fade Contest’;
1st place: 5 day trip for 2 people to denim mecca Kojima in Japan. Explore the denim craftsmanship from all your favorite Japanese brands.
2nd place: Bespoke pair of jeans by denim tailor Ruttloff. Create your ultimate pair of custom jeans!
3rd place: € 250 Cultizm store credit to get your hands on a new fresh pair of jeans.
How To Join The Contest?
It is very easy to join the ‘Cultizm Denim Fade Contest’, check out the steps below;
- Buy a pair of rigid (unwashed) jeans between the 15th of August to the 30th of September 2023. You can pick any brand from Cultizm (no matter the brand/price).
- The contest starts on the 1st of October. Each participant will wear their new jeans for 1 year.
- Each month, each participant will upload their progress on Instagram with the hashtag #cultizmfades.
- To participate, please post on 1st October your unworn jeans with @cultizm and the brand/ model and your order number and also #cultizmfades.
- Cultizm will re-post each month their Top 5 of the participants on Instagram and on this special contest page.
- The ‘Cultizm Denim Fade Contest’ will run until the 31st of August 2024.
The Judges Of The Contest
For this ‘Cultizm Denim Fade Contest’, Cultizm teamed-up with yours truly, Wouter Munnichs, founder of Long John. Together we will select our Top 10 denim fades after 1 year. The Top 10 will be uploaded on Cultizm’s Instagram, so everyone can vote on their favorite. After 2 weeks of voting, they will announce their Top 3 winners of the contest.
