Last week the first Jean School (based in Amsterdam – NL) kicked off with the first day of this brand new study. The Jean School is an initiative from The House of Denim and ROC. During this 3 year study you will learn everything about denim, from design, developing, production, buying, sales, branding, etc. How cool is that, three years working with the greatest and most popular piece of clothing! I am really jealous on these students. One of the initiators of this study is James Veenhoff from The House of Denim. James asked me, together with Menno van Meurs from Tenue de Nimes Shop in Amsterdam and Alex Jaspers from jeans brand Amsterdams Blauw (Scotch & Soda), to give the first lecture about our passion; jeans. It was really nice to do and after the inspiring lectures the students and the teachers were really enthousiastic. Most of them told us that the spirit is even bigger than before. Nice those positive reactions. I wish I was a little bit younger to join them…Besides giving a lecture I displayed my Worn-Out Projects Expo there as well. Thanks James for the invite!
