Pike Brothers 1908 Miner Jacket 14oz Hemp Denim

One of the latest denim jackets in the Pike Brothers collection is the 1908 Miner jacket. The Miner jacket is inspired by workwear jackets from the Gold Rush period in California. From 1850 the fast growing Gold Rush period in the West of America led many manufacturers to specialize in the production of mining wear. Especially jackets became populair as they protect the upper body while being at work.

The Miner jacket by Pike Brothers features the typical details which dates back to the turn of the century.

Details Of The Miner Jacket

The Miner jacket is made of a beautiful hairy 14oz redline selvedge fabric. It’s made of 50% hemp and 50% cotton. On the front of the jacket are pleats and three open pockets. Two of the pockets have a donut button closure. The neck label is a woven patch with an authentic design. The jacket is stitched with yellow/Tobacco and dark blue thread colour. The fit of the jacket is modern and not so boxy, so perfect for everyone. The jacket is produced in Turkey.

This upcoming Spring Pike Brothers will launch the Miner jacket also in a more heavier 19oz fabric from the Japanese Kurabo mill.
