The 1947 N1 Deck Parka jacket by Pike Brothers is the perfect winter jacket. It keeps you warm during the cold and snowy days. The jacket is based on an original US Navy jacket which was introduced at the end of the second world war, around 1947. It was produced in order to provide the sailors with better equipment at sea to give them more comfort and warmth when they were on the deck.
The most common US Navy jacket is the N1 Deck jacket, Pike Brothers produce these too in several different versions. This parka version have three major differences compared to the N1 Deck jacket as the fit is longer, it has additional pockets on the front and a hood was attached to keep the wind away.
Unique Details Of The Jacket
The Pike Brothers parka jacket is made of durable khaki jungle cloth which is waxed to make it more water repellant. To keep yourself warm the jacket is lined with a 100% wool lining. For the closure, they used an original vintage 1940’s Talon zipper with cotton pull and buttons. On the front are two slanted pockets and two lower pockets attached with flap closure and buttons to carry all your belongings. Even on the inside, they made a pocket. The hood is fully lined with wool too. In the neck, they attached an authentic label with the specs.
