A Limited Run Of 50 Pieces Only
The American denim brand Brave Star is running a pre-order program with their ‘The Die Hard Double Knee‘ jeans. This time they offer an ecru version which is made with a 14oz natural selvedge fabric from Japan. The run will be made in limited quantities as 50 pairs only.
The Ecru Selvedge Fabric
After the blue Cone Mills selvedge fabric version, Brave Star comes with their natural version too. The brand has a small sample lot in storage and always wanted to do a workwear jeans in this color. This is not a bright white, but natural, undyed, and unbleached warp yarns of varying shades in their virgin state have been used to formulate this unique shade. Echoing the warm, creamy tone of buttermilk, this nuanced shade of off-white adds a rich texture to the face. The yarns have an amazing character with all the fullness of the irregularity showing thru with ridges of highs and lows. The selvage ID is red and contrasts well with the natural denim.
The Fit Of The Jeans
The fit of Brave Star’s The Die Hard Double Knee ecru jeans is their new fit. The fit has in comparison to their true straight a half size more room throughout the low hip, thigh, and knee to accommodate the double knee panels so it is considered our most generous fit. A slightly higher front and rear rise than the true straight. Subtle taper from the knee down to the hem.
The Details Of The Jeans
The Brave Star jeans feature 10 pockets for ultimate utility, bar-tacked at all stress points, the button fly has double-prong and donut style buttons and red-orange top stitching using core-spun polyester thread for strength.
It is sewn and chain stitched in all the right places on vintage Union Special, Reece, and Singer machines. There’s a woven label on the back pocket. All the hardware is made in Kentucky, while every aspect of the production is US made in downtown Los Angeles.
The Brave Star jeans will be sending out by the end of August.
