Last weekend I organised the ‘Denim City Hang-Out’ for the Dutch denim store Rambam as part of the Fashion Weekend in Eindhoven – NL. The ‘Denim City Hang-Out’ was held in the middle of the centre where we used an old ship container as the base to built a small blue world. In the container we had a mini Lee denim expo with private items from the Dutch Lee Jeans sales guy Pol Houtkamp. He has some amazing faded and worn-out items in his private collection. One of the highlights was his 23oz jean which he worn about 2 years and a jean worn by a fisherman. You also got the chance to win a pair of Lee Jeans by striking a blue pose in front of the camera. Lee also did a great performance during the day with a group of active dansers inspired by their campaign ‘Move your Lee’. In the front of the container we made a repair corner with Nudie Jeans. Craftsman Gio from the Jean School Amsterdam gave the jeans a second life. On the roof we had some various dj’s playing some authentic rock & roll music and you could drink some cold Vedett beers and eat some fresh burgers from De Burger place. All in all a nice blue day. Thanks everybody for your support!
