Last Saturday I organised ‘Rambam Denim Days’ Part 3 for Rambam denim store. The store is located in my hometown Eindhoven, the South of Holland. The store is the oldest denim store in town, open since 1974. The denim days is a store event where we show our love for denim and indigo. Every event we ask talents to show their craftsmanship. For this edition we ask ‘Spijkerbrij’ to fill in the shop window with their creative creations, they re-cycle old jeans into new products like bow ties and lampshades. In the store ‘Facing West’ (Lizzie Kroeze) set-up a mini expo with some of her private indigo workwear collection. Lizzie is making great stuff by hand using the old Japanese sashiko technique. Besides showing items she was also repairing old jeans from customers. Next to that we had a good coffee barista in the store making fresh coffee for everyone, guerilla denim show and fine music. Last weekend was also the kick-off from the famous ‘Dutch Design Week’ in Eindhoven, so there was plenty to do in the centre of Eindhoven. Up to the next one!
