The History Of The Iron Ranger Boots
The Iron Ranger boots were originally made for iron miners in the 1930s. In the decades since this footwear style has grown indispensable for owners from all walks of life thanks to its iconic style and longevity. This 6-inch built boot features a leather toe cap that is as distinctive as it is durable. The boots are produced with a Goodyear Welt construction and Puritan triple-stitching. The Iron Ranger boots can be resoled over time, as all the Red Wing boots, for enduring wear.
Durable And Quality Goods Since 1995
The Riders Room store opened its doors back in 1995 in Hamburg, Germany. Since then they’ve been supplying their customers with authentic motorcycle clothing. Durable and quality-made, same as the Red Wing Shoes. Therefore it was a natural step to join forces together to this special milestone. One of the key features of these limited Iron Rangers boots is the green Vibram sole. The Red Wing Shoes x Rider Room Iron Ranger are built on the brand’s last number 8. They feature speed hooks and eyelets and are made with black Harness leather. The leather will age beautifully over time.
The Green Vibram Sole
Originally, these green soles were used on Red Wing’s Lineman boots back in 1956. It is unclear why the green color was significant for the Lineman boots. One theory is that it was an indication that the sole was compounded with the EH (Electrical Hazard) insulation between you and the ground; if you happened to touch alive/hotwire, you wouldn’t get shocked. It gave wearers confidence that the shoe they were wearing was guaranteed to be safe whilst working up high lines.
