René Daniëls is a Dutch artist from my hometown Eindhoven (Holland) born in 1950. Daniels is regarded as one of the most eminent Dutch painters of his generation. In his work he links art and it’s rich history to literature and everyday life. He was influenced by bands like Sex Pistols, Talking Heads and Lou Reed. He has exhibited regularly at home and abroad, until in 1987 the age of 37 he was affected by a brain haemorrhage. This upcoming weekend he has an exhibition kick-off with his work before his brain haemorrhage at the Van Abbe Museum in Eindhoven; www.vanabbemuseum.nl. If you can, check it!
